About videogame

Videogame – it is arcade retro racing, saying short. In details, we have, that you patrol streets in format of racing game. So it is. Patrol – means, that you need ride, also in calm way. And make speed lower, not only speed up. But from another side - it is racing for time. Moving through checkpoints – you gain time. Riding for a time. And also, exist, racing element, you need to overtake cars, shoot opponents. As enemies you will have street racers and bandits – they need to be destroyed, to gain scores. So, it is racing. This is arcade, retro. With reference to 80s.

Development condition

All this time I fix bugs and errors in game process. Fixed things, that disturb game play, and not giving any chance to finish the game. I check how this game is playing. This is some problems with logic, errors in game play. Also, maybe, need to fix some more points and so on, they are not so notable. But I plan to move for next step – upgrade graphics. I will add more details to levels. Backgrounds, game objects at roadsides.

I plan to release game with price at 1 US dollar at resources GameJolt and Itchio. When it will be released.

What is next? By the way, to draw levels, in order they look better. Back to program part. And check gameplay. Together with programming, fix gameplay. This is looks like this:

Pre last level

And now I will about pre last level. It called “Road to nowhere”. In game exists difference references to 80s, to movies. You are riding into darkness. By the road. It is rare trees around. Each level has its own atmosphere and visual realization. It is about 13 levels in total. All of them are already done, they are all programmed and drawn. But they need to be drawn better. Add details. Road into full night. Road and you. You can think about this and that. While you are riding, time to remember different movies. Events also are ok.

Anyway, game is like racing. But it is in main. Saying more details – you are at patrol police car. And you are on patrol. At every level. So, there is some moments you are riding calm. There is moments, where you turn on speed. There are moments to shoot and overtake. Pure action. And also existed tracks, where you need move to finish line. So, not to forget to lower speed. And make a maneuvers about speed up and speed down. In order not to interfere with civilian cars. And, this is, pre last level – “road to nowhere”. Night and road. Don’t forget, that not all the time, you need to push gas pedal. In the end, at every level you need to complete a task. To destroy some street racers. Destroy some jeeps with bandits. And in result to move through piece of road to the end.
